Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
A Parents & Citizens Association is a school-based organisation with membership open to parents, teachers, students and interested citizens. It aims to promote the interests of the school and to assist in providing facilities and equipment.
The P&C is where you find out what's going on at the school. It is the vehicle through which you can have effective input into the direction and quality of your child's education. P&C meetings provide you with the opportunity to liaise with the school principal and staff, and to be involved in the decision making processes relating to the school and its functions. Involvement in the P&C introduces you to other parents, establishes useful networks and often lifelong friends.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
P&C Meetings
Our P&C meetings are held once each term, or as required. We meet in the school Library at 7pm. Please see our school calendar for more information
Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Wheeler Heights Public School P&C is excited for our biggest community event of the year — the 2026 Annual Fundraising Night on Saturday, 25 July 2026 at The Far Post, Cromer.
We are currently seeking local businesses, families, and community partners to help make this event a success through sponsorships, donations, and auction contributions.
Funds raised will directly support important school initiatives including:
⭐ Our WHPS 65th Anniversary fundraising goal of $65,000
⭐ Tennis & Basketball Court Revitalisation
⭐ K–2 Playground Beautification
⭐ Classroom learning resources and student support
⭐ Ongoing school facility improvements
There are many ways to get involved — from sponsoring entertainment or the photobooth, to donating products, services, vouchers, or auction items.
Every contribution, big or small, helps create lasting improvements for our students and school community.

Volunteer at our school
Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
helping in the canteen
getting involved in the P&C
listening to children read in the classroom
volunteering on sports days and other school events
helping supervise excursions.
Please ensure before you volunteer, you have completed a digital declaration. Please contact our office staff, and they will send you a digital form that will need to be completed before you volunteer and let you know if they require any further documentation.
